How do I use it?

Give us some words. We smash them into various combinations to find available .com domains. If you search for quick brown fox we check the following domains:

QuickBrown.com QuickFox.com BrownQuick.com BrownFox.com FoxQuick.com FoxBrown.com

Can it do more?

Here are a few to help you get started:

We created a bunch of those word lists for fun. #alcohol, #animal, #atom, #color, #digit, #flavor, #food, #fruit, #letter, #metal, #number, #nut, #planet, #prefix, #secret, #shape, #space, #suffix, #vegetable, #vehicle. Or we'll dip into our trusty thesaurus - #money and #emotion.

My search returned many domains. Are they all available?

Yes. Well, usually. Our data might be slightly out of date, and not all domains are included in our list because reasons. But they are almost always unregistered and available.

Who are you?

BatName is a quickie project by a couple of hackers. Please don't judge us too harshly. We can be reached at help@batname.com.

How does BatName make money?

It doesn't. This is for fun, not profit.

How is it so fast?

That's confidential. Actually, bloom filters.

What are the limitations?

We ignore everything that isn't a letter or digit. Also, we cap the number of words and search results to prevent our circuits from sweating. Most importantly, we only look at domains that are 15 letters or shorter. That's the one that'll bite you.

What other sites does the BatName team work on?

I'm glad you asked! Check out Fresh Chalk
